The Montenegro Highlands is definitely one of the most breathtaking overlanding tours in Europe – nowhere can you find so much natural beauty and unspoiled high altitude wilderness in such a small area than there. And our tour covers the very best of Montenegrian landscape in 10 days. Take a look what it was like last September!
It’s never easy to recapitulate a fantastic overlanding season in pictures, but 2017 was particularly hard – of more than 1000 extraordinary shots in the first pick, we barely managed to decide which ones to discard in order to leave only 250 of the very best.

Due to high interest, we have added a July date to our traditional Montenegro Highlands tour, which will in 2018 also feature the final two days in the mountains of north Albania – and we have also added rafting on the Tara river!

IT technology has given many people the means to explore hidden and obscured parts of the world and to do individual tour planning without the help of commercial tour guides. Google Maps are a great tool for getting an insight into topography not covered by official roadmaps, but if you think you can plan a tour only based on what you see in Google maps coupled with the tracks that can be downloaded from the free GPS data portals like Wikiloc, you’re in for some nasty surprises.
