We completed our 2017 tour video production by releasing videos from two of the biggest overland adventures that we have conducted so far.
The first one was known as the South Serbian Nomad’s Adventure tour, and it was really memorable in July 2017. But only now have we found the time to process the video material and make a proper video out of it. It is, essentially, the tour which evolved into the Secret Carpathians, that we have in our calendar for 2018.
Keep up the good things and improve them – that is exactly what happened to our offroad tour offerings, which have made the Balkans an instant bestseller in the overland travel market several years ago. The 2018 tour portfolio is derived from the 2017 tours, but every one of them has been further improved, as we think there’s always a way to get closer to perfection. Lets look into the details. The Montenegro Highlands is definitely one of the most breathtaking overlanding tours in Europe – nowhere can you find so much natural beauty and unspoiled high altitude wilderness in such a small area than there. And our tour covers the very best of Montenegrian landscape in 10 days. Take a look what it was like last September!
It’s never easy to recapitulate a fantastic overlanding season in pictures, but 2017 was particularly hard – of more than 1000 extraordinary shots in the first pick, we barely managed to decide which ones to discard in order to leave only 250 of the very best.
Our winter video production is picking up pace – we’ve recently made three new videos from the material recorded during the 2017 season tours. The latest one is the Eastern Serbian Nomad’s Adventure tour video
This tour has now evolved into the Secret Carpathians tour series, but this June 2017 tour edition had a very intimate atmosphere with memorable singing and guitar playing by the campfire. Check it out!
In their winter issue of Camping & 4WD Adventures, turas.tv have published so far the most comprehensive coverage of our story of overlanding the Balkans – and have used many of our images to illustrate the issue. We’re delighted how it worked out, take a look! https://www.turas.tv/2017/11/issue-five-winter-2017/
We have just published two photo albums with more than 400 assorted images from two most impressive and picturesque tours, which were the crown of the season – Montenegrian Highlands 2017 and Balkans Wild Tracks 2017.
A 4×4 journey along the Danube, the cradle of Europe
It was the Iron Gate gorge on the banks of the mighty Danube river where Lepenski Vir civilization sprouted 7000 years ago. In the meantime many have passed through those jungles, making a living from the big river, and building trade routes along it. During the demanding offroading tours some of our guests called this biggest continous forest in Serbia “Serbian Amazon jungle”. No wonder – passing along it is very similar to an exotic jungle adventure! Rocks protruding high above the Danube offer some amazing scenic points, and wandering inland reveals hidden river valleys, canyons, caves and waterfalls. And of course, the famous stone arches of eastern Serbia!
