Today we have layed a milestone in our overlanding tour operator business – we are rebranding from Rustika Expeditions (Rustika Travel) to Dreamscape Overland, the brand under which all of our 2025 (and future) tours will take place. We are rebranding in order to expand and diversify our business, bringing you more of what you really expect from us. We have expanded our team of guides, and with our new tour portfolio for 2025 we are reaching out to the groups of our potential customers which we have previously ignored – on one side those who are more into travelling than driving challenges, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, those who want much more of a driving challenge in our tours. A third, hybrid tour genre we will launch a little later, and that will be tours which combine offroad driving with hiking.

What makes our tours different?
We know that most overlanders avoid taking part in organized tours, feeling uncomfortable with a strict timetable and a fixed itinerary that those tours usually mean. They want to have a much more relaxed feeling while on vacation exploring the unknown, with a chance to modify the plan on the move and adapt the tour pace to their likings.
We understand them very well, because those are our preferences too. So when we started organizing tours we thought how it could be done without becoming some kind of a disciplined, military drill, quite common for most tour organizers. And we found a good model. We just don’t conduct our organized tours any differently than when we travel with friends. What does that exactly mean?

South Serbia in 2017

Discovering wild Balkans
Written by:

When mountains in the central part of the Balkans start having freezing temperatures at night in the autumn, it’s time to head south, to the warm, meditteranean part of the peninsula. That is exactly what we do every year in the Balkans Wild Tracks tour. This is the adventure we’ve experienced between October 20th and November 5th in Greece, Albania, Macedonia and Serbia.
Where are we taking you in 2017?
“Don’t live the same year 75 times, and call it a life.”
Yes – every new year is a new chance to add meaning to our lives with new adventures in places you haven’t seen before. And we offer to take you to those places, because we know where they are. Every season we explore and discover new ones, so even the tours that seem to be the same in our calendar are never the same as they were last year – every time we make them we try to achieve a higher level of traveller’s bliss, always adding to them something new and different 😎 Take a look at where and how we’ll be taking you in 2017… Continue reading Where are we taking you in 2017?
Homolje Gold Rush 2016

Aleksandar Veljković
After the experience with the “winter tour” in April last year we wanted the beginning of the springtime season of Rustika Travel tours to be a true springtime event, with minimum risk of snow, and lots of mud and a chance to watch the nature sprouting and waking up after the winter sleep. So we decided to make it in the lower mountains of northeast Serbia, where the risk of late winter conditions wasn’t so great like in the higher mountains. And it turned out we managed to hit the point – the tour was a 100% success! 😎
Matsch und Piste about us
Roman Firak, our most devoted friend and traveller, has written an article about his experiences in the Serbian wilderness with us for the German on-line offroad and travel magazine Matsch und Piste (in German). This great overview of his personal impressions and experiences you can read here

Nomadic journey of south Serbia
Serbia is sort of a newcomer to the European adventure travel market – having fewer mountains higher than 2000 m than the surrounding countries, it was always regarded as less attractive and less wild by enthusiasts. But is it really so?
