Winter has come a bit early this year. Kučaj and other higher mountains of eastern Serbia have seen their fair share or snowflakes before December even began. So we set out to carve our way through virgin snow. This is what we’ve experienced.

When you first encounter a new team of offroad guides, you approach with caution, trying to find out if they share the same offroad philosophy as you do. And there is a reason for that – there are almost as many approaches to 4×4 travel as there are owners of 4×4 vehicles. For some it’s a pure adrenaline rush, a dynamic technical challenge which makes the rest of the world non-existent. For others it’s a journey of discovery, where the vehicle is a home on wheels that will take them to the end of the world. And there are many variations between these extremes.

When talking to our friends abroad about coming over for an offroad tour in Serbia, we often come accross misconceptions – “facts” which are exactly the opposite from what the situation really is, but which make people hesitant about coming to Serbia very strongly. In this article I’d like to address the most common ones. Most of them, actually, are security related – and all of them are utterly unfounded. Some are connected to the recent political developments, and some are misconceptions that date decades into the past. Ok, lets go!

Proteklih dana objavili smo i postavili na YouTube dva nova videa. Prvi od njih je završni video iz serijala o južnim Karpatima, “Lotrului, Parangul, Kapacini mountains – 4×4 magic of south Carpathians”, dok je drugi prezentacija Tare i Zlatibora iz ofrouderske vizure. Oba ova videa prezentuju područja na kojima ćemo organizovati ture u sezoni 2015 (Karpate u julu, a zapadnu Srbiju već u aprilu).

Upoznajte Sureanu i Cindrel planine – video
Postavili smo novu video prezentaciju jednog od najlepših 4×4 terena u Rumuniji – planinskih masiva Šurean i Čindrel, koji se u smeru zapad-istok nadovezuju jedan na drugi u dužini od gotovo 200 km od Hunedoare do Sibiua. Duž ove visoravni proteže se glavni greben sa većim brojem vrhova iznad 2000 m nadomorske visine, okruženi dubokim dolinama Karpatskih reka i gustim četinarskim i listopadnim šumama. Zahtevne ofroud trase su nešto sa čime morate da računate uspinjući se do najviših vrhova, ali ćete biti nagrađeni fantastičnim vidicima i osećajem potpune slobode dok tumarate ovim ogromnim prostranstvom nenaseljene divljine. Nadamo se da će vam ovaj sedmominutni video barem delimično dočarati kakva je to avantura:
